Sleep is important for all animals. In fact, humans spend almost 25 years of their life sleeping. Many also wonder why do we sleep? Here's a post to pacify their curiosity.
Why do we sleep?
When we see light, our brain releases cortisol, and keeps us awake. At night, due to absence of natural light, our brain doesn't release cortisol. Instead, it releases more amounts of melatonin. This makes us feel sleepy.
Due to various activities performed by our brain throughout the day, our brain secretes adenosine. Due to accumulation of adenosine, we fell sleepy. When we sleep, our brain reabsorbs the accumulated adenosine and gets ready for a new day.
Besides this, during sleep, our brain performs various tasks like organising information, deleting unwanted data, etc. Our body also conserves energy while we sleep.
Because of all above mentioned reasons, we sleep.

Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
