Can God create a stone that he cannot lift?

Well, if you believe you God, you, just like many others, might perceive him as an omnipotent being. Now, an omnipotent being is the one who has all the powers, who is all powerful. An omnipotent being can destroy or create anything, essentially having all the possible powers. And many perceive God as one of this kind.

So there is a famous question regarding omnipotence of an omnipotent being. That "can an omnipotent being create a stone he cannot lift?" At first glance this looks a stupid question. That the omnipotent being has all posts and thus he can create one. But there is still a catch. And that is what makes this question the famous "omnipotence paradox".

Well, first let's check the contradictions that are in the question which make it hard to understand. Because he is omnipotent he can obviously create a stone. But if he creates it, he has to lift it. If he can't lift it, this means the being is not omnipotent. And if he lifts it this means he was unable to create a stone that he cannot lift.

A common modern version of the omnipotence paradox is expressed in the question: "Can [an omnipotent being] create a stone so heavy that it cannot lift it?" This question generates a dilemma. The being can either create a stone it cannot lift, or it cannot create a stone it cannot lift. If the being can create a stone that it cannot lift, then it is not omnipotent because there is a weight threshold beyond its own power to lift. If the being cannot create a stone it cannot lift, then there is something it cannot create, and is therefore not omnipotent. In either case, the being is not omnipotent. Source

Because it's a paradox, it has no solid answers as the question itself has an excellent point. But proposed answers are worth a thought. In the question there is a task of lifting a stone he cannot lift. This statement sounds and is very self contradictory and thus illogical.

This is that kind of statement that uses impossible tasks nested in a logical trap. So this paradox makes many minds think. I hope it did yours too. Well let me know what do you think below. And also, dont forget, for the paradox to be true, God must violate logic!
