Why are we (Indians) heading back to spirituality?

Well, the increasing popularity of spirituality around the world has made every Indian think and realise the importance of Spirituality. The spirituality has a way long history and rememberable journey but since we Indians became modern and techno-savvy, we forgot our advanced ancient techniques one by one and adopted the western culture, as we think it has more richness that makes us different and proves modern.

However, we take into account that their (especially US & UK) culture enhances our prestige and social status, whereas ancient Indian culture is pretty much outdated and has no class whatsoever, which resulted in the form Coke taking place of Buttermilk and Pizza taking place of Roti. Still, it is fine as long as all are happy and joyful!

But all of a sudden what has happened to us? How do we Indians are going back to our natural state? What magic happened in the last few years that we all are going crazy after yoga and spirituality? Or is just because the western culture has adopted these two and made us follow our own shadow? (And we got to know the importance of this Ghar Ki Murgi which we considered Dal Barabar?) Or maybe some other reasons?

Well, whatever the thing is, but the fact is, things are changing now. Subah ka Bhoola is returning in the evening. Now every Indian feel is getting attached with the spirituality. Because it makes us realize who we are. We are now learning (or relearning) how to be ever joyful as well as truly productive. It also seems so cool for some people. You know, closing eyes, sitting in a straight back position in tight yoga suit alongside Buddha’s statue. Wow! What a perfect picture to post on social media… isn’t it?

However increasing demand for spiritual coaches proves one thing for sure that spirituality has something extraordinary to offer and really great to deliver to those, who take it seriously and do it passionately. Since global corporate houses and international celebrities practising Indian spirituality, we Indians also felt to do the same thing to be compared with them to keep our so-called class alive.

One more thing is observed during this lockdown that spirituality is becoming the regular habit of most of the diverted Indians to get awareness and mindfulness. No matter how late we are but at last we are going back to our natural phenomenon. Now we are broadly accepting our ancient practice and culture. And this is what makes us feel proud, independent and different in real sense. As spirituality does not bind someone to follow a specific religion but to follow the set practice guidelines to get the desired consciousness and discover the truth of life.

Therefore spirituality is experiencing Achhe Din in its home town and all the credit goes to all the spiritual gurus and the western practitioners who are promoting it through a vast canvas.

But, be hopeful, one day, every Indian will be a spiritual master just like we had in the earlier days…
