Why reading this post can change your life?

You reading this post can change your life. Here's how, imagine this real quick: You woke up 10 minutes late one day and head to the office in a hurry. Due to that hurry, a car hits you and you get hurt. Turns out that the owner of the car was a billionaire businessman. He felt bad and so he offered a job to you with more salary than your existing one in his company. You accepted the offer. Years pass, you work hard and achieve a great position with many promotions in the company of that man. That man retires and decided to handover the company to you.

Now possibly if that day you wouldn't have woken up 10 minutes late, you would have missed this opportunity. This is called the butterfly effect. It states that just a small event in the right time and right place could theoretically change the history.

Whilst it sounds a little ridiculous as a concept, it is not meant to be taken literally. "The Butterfly Effect" metaphor is simply meant to demonstrate that little insignificant events can lead to significant results over time. (And yeah! Those results need not be favourable always!)

When Lorenz was studying weather patterns, he noticed that small differences at the start of a process caused major changes later. Being a mathematician, he used statistical forecasting techniques to evaluate his findings. This led to the birth of Chaos Theory, a branch of mathematics that focusses on varying patterns in the initial stages of any dynamic system (like the atmosphere) that could impact precise, long-standing predictions.   Well, the Butterfly effect became the basis of Chaos Theory. And in Wikipedia terms, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.

Let me give you another example: If you know, the US initially intended to bomb the Japanese city of Kuroko, with the munitions factory as a target. On the day the US planned to attack, cloudy weather conditions prevented the factory from being seen by military personnel as they flew overhead. The airplane passed over the city three times before the pilots gave up. Locals huddled in shelters heard the hum of the airplane preparing to drop the nuclear bomb and prepared for their destruction. Except Kuroko was never bombed. Military personnel decided on Nagasaki as the target due to improved visibility. The implications of that split-second decision were monumental. We cannot even begin to comprehend how different history might have been if that day had not been cloudy.

Thus, simple everyday tasks influence your future. And that is how this post has changed your life. Believe me, if you weren't reading this, your future would have been something else- positively or negatively.

And that's the same reason why he Flap of a Butterfly’s Wings in Brazil can Set Off a Tornado in Texas!
