Is Motorola a Chinese company?

Motorola started in Chicago, Illinois, USA in 1928 by Paul V. and Joseph E. Galvin. It was the year 1971 when Motorola launched its first portable telephone. In 2011, the company was sold to Google. In 2014, Motorola was again sold to Lenovo. But Google still had many right on the company as agreed.

The  greatest question comes that, is Motorola a Chinese company? Perhaps this is another controversial question. But the answer is actually very clear.

Now, Lenovo's headquarters are in Hong Kong and not in China. Both the regions have different currency as well as different rules and regulations.

And Lenovo isn't a Chinese third-class company. In fact, it is the largest PC maker of the world. That's why Google sold Motorola to Lenovo to concentrate on their Pixel devices.

Next, Motorola shares only 20% of their profit with Lenovo. Neither of the Motorola phone are assembled, manufactured or made in China, except for the adapters.

Motorola headquarters are still in Chicago, USA only. Security patch updates come from Chicago only. Lenovo has no right to touch Motorola servers which are in Chicago as agreed.

Yet Lenovo, the current owner of Motorola was found in China.

Conclusively, it actually depends. Still, I would love to hear what you think.
