"A Penguin flies" or "Penguin flies", which one is correct?

"Penguin" is a singular noun which needs an article "a" behind it as all singular nouns need it. We don't say "I have dog", we say "I have a dog". Thus it is correct to say "A penguin flies" than to say "Penguin flies".

This is a classic example that demonstrates the use of the article "a" before singular nouns.

But anyways, it doesn't matter because a penguin doesn't fly!
