Birds are also animals. Unlike other animals, why don't they have dark coloured poop? The question is a bit funny, but scientists also know about the reason behind this. Let's see...

Is bird poop really white?

At the first place, the white part of bird's poop, isn't their poop. The dark coloured part between the white part us the actual poop. Yes!

Human kidneys extract nitrogenous wastes from the body like urea from blood in form of liquid urine.

What makes bird poop white?

But the birds' kidneys don't produce liquid urine. They secrete nitrogenous waste in form of uric acid which is the white portion.

Moreover, humans have two exit points for wastes. One that removes the kidney waste (urethra) and another that removes intestinal waste (anus). Birds only have one exit point called cloaca. So birds' kidney waste and intestinal waste comes out together. Thus, birds have white coloured poop. And out of that, the dark part is intestinal waste and white part is kidney waste.

Conclusion:

Bird poop is actually not white. They have different body organization and organ placement. Thus nitrogenous wastes are ejected with the poop which are white in colour.
