How does Google Maps work?
We all love Google Maps. But do you know how does it work? Do you know how does it detect traffic? Let's see...
It tracks the traffic by location of android phones on road. Cluster of phones means there is a traffic. Google maps also detects or speed which gives more data for accuracy.
This data is used to calculate how many people are there at a particular place. This helps us navigate better and faster.
But not always. There is a famous event in which the German artist Simon Weckret created fake traffic. He took 99 mobile phones on a silent road and fooled the server of Google Maps. Soon the road turned red, indicating traffic.
Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
