What are the things we blindly do wrong with our phones?
Now a days, phones are like a lifeline to us. But still, we all, blindly, do many wrong things with our phone. Here is a list of 5 thins we do wrong with our phones which we need to change...
1. Charging phones upto 100%.
It looks pretty neat. Being equipped with full charged battery all day long. But actually, it's bad for your phone. Studies found that keeping battery to extremes that is 0% and 100% helps battery to degrade faster. This will reduce your battery life drastically. It is better adviced to keep your phone near the mids. That is, don't let your battery go below 20% or above 80%. It is okay once in a while if you charge it full like for going to a trip, etc. But doing so as a daily practice might be harmful for your phone.
2. Shutting down the running apps in the background.
Many people think that shutting background apps makes their phones fast, faster than a rocket. But actually it's making it more slower. When you say shut down camera and want to use it again, you open up the app again. This makes the phone open the app from start as you had shut it down. This creates a lot of load on your processor. This degrades the speed of processor as well as consumes more battery. That wouldn't be the case if you leave those apps all alone.
3. Not rebooting or powering off your device or doing it frequently.
Rebooting your phone or powering it off for sometime and then using it gives your phone rest for sometime. It will give your device a new start. But this should not be done frequently, it can damage the phone by reducing battery life and in other ways. It is however recommended to reboot your phone once a week or once in a fortnight.
4. Downloading things from unknown sources.
Media that you might download from unknown and untrustworthy sources might have malicious content. Especially cracked apps, hacked games and pirated content. These things slows down your phone and can easily invade your privacy. So, make sure you only download media from trusted sources (Like the Play Store) and don’t run towards apps that guarantee you unlimited lives or money in a game, or movies that are latest and available for free, as it is understood that these things are the ones that carry malicious codes.
5. Not using original and branded things like charger, adapter, earphones.
It is always advised and we do not follow. Using original items is always good for you phone. Not doing so can badly damage your phone. Using a second party cheap charger might damage your battery life. Non-branded chargers can also permanently damage the charging port.
These are some daily things we do wrong with our phones. And ignoring this might cause a problem. Still, I would love to hear from you, that were the tips helpful? And if I have missed any, please let me know in the comments section below...
Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
