Why are cursor pointers tilted?
Were the cursor pointers tilted from the start?
No. When mouses were invented in 1918, the cursor pointer was originally vertical. It was originally an arrow pointing up. But on low resolution displays, it was difficult to spot those pointers on the screen. It was also difficult to make a straight vertical line on such a screen.
Then why are cursor pointers tilted?
So then, to make cursor pointers more visible, companies started making cursor pointers tilted at an angle of 45 degrees. Soon tech giants like Apple Inc. and Microsoft adopted the idea and it became more acceptable.
Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
