How do fish breathe underwater?

If you jump in water and try to breathe underwater, you won't. But then how do fish do it? Let's see...
Water has some dissolved gases in it like oxygen and carbon dioxide. Fishes need only oxygen to survive. So fishes take in oxygen which is dissolved from the oxygen. For this fishes have special organs called gills.
Gills are full of blood vessels and are very thin. Now when fishes breathe, they take in water through the mouth and give out through the gills. While this process, the dissolved oxygen passes through the gills. The oxygen readily dissolves in the blood in the blood vessels. Thus the gills give out only water and carbon dioxide. This is how they breathe underwater.
Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
