Why is ocean blue?

We all love to play in water on the beaches but do we know why the ocean water is blue in color? It can be green or yellow. Why did it copy the sky's color? To know why sky is blue, click here.
Even though sunlight looks white, we all know that it is made up of seven colors of the rainbow (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red).
Now, the water molecules absorb red, orange, yellow and green colors as the sunlight penetrates water. Whereas the blue shades like violet, indigo and blue are not absorbed completely and thus are reflected back. So the ocean appears blue.
But then you might wonder why the ocean very deep is very dark??? The reason is, as the blue shades enter the ocean deeper and deeper, they also eventually get absorbed and then nothing reflects making the deeper ocean black and dark.
Due to the way the water molecules absorb and reflect colors, the ocean appears blue in color...
Posts before October 2021 have been marked as "Old Posts". Less likely, but they might have out dated or incorrect information, ugly looking bits of code, no labels, etc. Don't get me wrong, many of these posts are top-notch and interesting too.
I thought it would be better not to delete or revamp these posts, even if they suck. The bitter truth is that old works always suck, but I take that as a positive tool to convey that I am growing. Besides there's no better way to showcase my journey without these old, messy, poorly written posts!
